In 1981 Jeff launched Illinois based Livingreen Interiors,
Inc. which was a company engaged in interior plantscaping;
subsequently a second operation was developed in Omaha during
1985.
After exceeding annual revenues of $3.0 million, Jeffs
company was purchased in 1998 by ServiceMaster Corporation,
a Fortune 500 Company. Livingreen, at the time it was sold,
was ranked nationally in the top 25 as a provider of commercial
and residential horticultural sales and services.
ServiceMaster retained Jeff as a consultant for the interior
plantscape division to take on the challenge of building what
became a $7.0 million national holiday division.
The first plan of action was to establish, test and rollout
the division product lines. Jeff then created and implemented
a comprehensive training program to train sales people, customers
and management.
Along with the divisions team, Jeff established, co-coordinated
and managed all facets of the production. All of these important
functions provided the resources and support to successfully
hire and manage 75 salespeople. Sales revenue rose from $1.2
million to over $7.0 million during Jeffs two-year tenure.
In 2000, he acquired Accurate Communications Company which
is a national inbound telemarketing company and business-to-business
answering service. His business serves clients across the
country ranging from small single-item products to large national
TV campaigns and catalogues.
